Exhibition catalogue: Photography as jazz improvisation

As part of the school project, a catalog of a fictional exhibition by French street photographer Nicholas Portnoi was developed. His works combine lightness and interesting urban plots: cases documented on camera are colored with frivolity, humor and riddles. The works of Nikolos Portnoi are unique in their rhythm and element of randomness, in them the musicality of the streets speaks with rhymes and transitions.
The visual idea is based on the concept of duality and rhyme: this is expressed through bilingualism, the use of fonts that are opposite in mood and function, and bright color combinations. Thus, an element of randomness appears in the catalog, characteristic of the street, a kind of pile-up and imbalance.
